General Info

Los Sifones is the kind of taco restaurant that feels easy to enjoy from the moment you look at its menu. Located at Av. División del Nte. 2804, Parque San Andrés, Coyoacán, 04040 Ciudad de México, CDMX, Mexico, it fits naturally into the neighborhood as a casual spot for people who want bold flavors, filling plates, and a relaxed meal without overthinking where to go.

The first thing that stands out about Los Sifones is its focus on tacos and Mexican comfort food. The Tortilla Cuadrada is one of the most memorable dishes connected with the restaurant, and it gives the place a clear identity. Las Tortillas Cuadradas also add something distinctive to the menu, especially for diners who enjoy familiar flavors served with a recognizable house style. It is the type of signature item that makes reviews feel more specific, because it gives people something to look for when they visit.

For taco lovers, the Tacos de Pastor are another strong reason to stop by Los Sifones. They match the restaurant’s casual, satisfying personality and work well for lunch, a quick bite, or a longer meal with friends. Since this is a taco restaurant, pastor tacos feel right at home here, especially when paired with the restaurant’s salsas. The salsas are an important part of the experience because they bring extra heat, freshness, and depth to the dishes without making the meal feel complicated.

Another highlight on the menu is the Molcajete de Bistec en Salsa Verde y Roja. This dish sounds hearty and full of character, bringing together steak with both green and red salsa for a more complete flavor experience. It is a good option for diners who want something beyond tacos but still want the rich, traditional feeling that makes a Mexican meal satisfying.

Los Sifones also offers practical services that make the visit more comfortable. It is suitable for lunch, and the late-night food option gives it extra appeal for people looking for something flavorful after regular dining hours. Wine is available as well, which adds a nice touch for guests who want to enjoy their meal a little more slowly. Dessert is part of the offering too, making it easy to round out the visit with something sweet. The restroom service is another useful detail for guests planning to dine in rather than simply grab food and leave.

Overall, Los Sifones in Coyoacán comes across as a flavorful, approachable location for tacos, salsas, square tortillas, and hearty Mexican plates. Its menu highlights, convenient services, and neighborhood setting make it a reliable choice for diners browsing restaurant locations and reviews in Ciudad de México.

What customers say?

“ Great variety of tacos, including tacos with avocado, and delicious soups—my favorite is the mushroom soup. The alambre with cheese, especially the rib option, is another top favorite. The grilled onions are a perfect side, and you can’t miss the molcajetes. A unique touch is their signature square tortilla, which really sets them apart. The staff is super friendly, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. A great spot for authentic flavors and a relaxed, enjoyable meal. Highly recommended! ”

“ After few days in CDMX and several unsuccessful attempts with different types of food, we found this as a gem. Food here is tasty, we tried sopas, tacos, ensaladas, cazuelitas, drinks… Everything was good, that’s why visited this place twice. ”

“ At Los Sifones, you have to get the molcajete. It is a boiling cauldron of meat, cheese, cactus, salsa, onions, avocado, and other items that you wrap in tortillas. It's a nice experience in more of a traditional setting. The wait staff are all very friendly and on top of things. We also got the pastorcate, which are al pastor tacos mixed with avocado. The restaurant is unique in that the tortillas are all square shaped. Regardless of the shape, the food was all delicious here. We also got the natilla for dessert, which is a custard with blackberry jam. It was very refreshing and not too sweet. Definitely one of our more memorable meals in CDMX. ”
